Nine months ago today, J came to live with us. And what a day that was. Remember that Mama B?
B (J's former foster mom) and I had planned to spend the day together, just making the transition, running to the health department to switch over the WIC registration to our name, etc. Little did we know the day held numerous trips to various offices (sometimes twice), including the doctor's office and the children's home office. By the time naptime rolled around, we had six worn out children and were a couple of exhausted mamas. So much for the easy, slow transition. But the transition did happen and we are so grateful for all Mama B and Daddy T did to help with that transition - especially teaching J to sleep through the night! :) We see the Lord's hand, and we praise Him that you were open and said, "Yes, Lord."
We had no indication when we accepted the placement of J that he would be adoptable in the future. In fact, indications were just the opposite. But what we did in faith for Jesus' sake has now blessed us with an unexpected opportunity - to grow our family by adding J permanently. God is faithful and we stand believing that He will carry us through open doors in this process of making J 100% a part of this family.
