Excuse Me?!?

Kroger checker ringing up J.'s WIC allotments for the month and looking at the name on his voucher: "So, how do you pronounce your child's name?"

Me, with a smile, "Uh, we aren't sure, it could be J______ or J______, but we just call him J___."

Checker with puzzled looked and exasperated tone, "So.......why did you name him that if you can't pronounce it??!?"

To which I responded, " Uh....I didn't name him - he's my foster child!!!!"
