Believing God

Have you ever struggled with unbelief? What I mean is, have you ever stood on the edge of a precipice, looked downwards and wanted so desperately to believe that when you spread your arms wide and leaned forward, He would be there to catch you? You knew that the immediate terror of beginning that fall would be worth it once you landed safe in His arms. But all the "what-ifs" kept popping up, and besides, it seemed so utterly crazy to take such a step of belief. What would they say if they knew you were contemplating such a step of belief? They would say you had gone off the deep end, which of course, is exactly what you are considering.

Trust. How much do I trust my Father? I am finding that the arms that I have for the whole of my life kept wrapped around myself, are beginning to unfold and fall to my sides. And to my mounting terror and simultaneous excitement, I find myself longing to fling those arms wide, throw my head back and lunge off the edge into the most wonderful free-fall of trust. I believe it is only a matter of time.

He is there. He is true to His word. And He calls me by name.

O Happy Day

Braving the waters, (sorry you have to watch this sideways!!)

dying to self...

She rises, reborn and

as full of the joy of the Lord as ever.

We celebrate this rebirth because you, Father, have made her new, and will continue to make her new every morning, by your great mercy. Praise you Lord Jesus for your precious, cleansing blood and your amazing heart for your own...

Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Psalm 51:6-8
